Tennis & Pickleball

Tennis, anyone? Singles or doubles, players of any skill level are welcome to play in Eagle River. Many locals already know that four premier tennis courts are available to use at the Vilas County Fairgrounds thanks to the Greater Eagle River Tennis Association and support from community organizations. GERTA hosts a variety of tournaments, open play, lessons, and social events throughout the playing season.

If tennis is too much of a racket for you, try a paddle in your hand with a fun game of pickleball. The sport of pickleball is taking the world—and Eagle River—by storm because it’s fun, social, and easy to play. Smaller courts than tennis mean this sport requires less running and is easier on the knees. Located in Riverview Park just north of Eagle River downtown, the Eagle River Pickleball Association allows players of all ages and skill to enjoy the game through free clinics, free lessons, and scheduled social and tournament play.
