Responsible for presentation of numbers to participants in the Bingo game using equipment which includes bingo balls, mixer, lay down, counter, display boards, VCR, television, and closed-circuit television monitors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Verbally announces the numbers for the playing of the game and adjusts the speed of calling to meet special needs or situations.

Callers are to communicate their observations on operations, games, patterns of play, or other matters to appropriate supervisors.

Recognizes that employees have certain responsibilities which affect the operational efficiency of the casino.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, biology, education, or related field preferred, though relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- At least 3 years’ experience in the field(s) of outdoor/environmental education, general education, or natural sciences.
- 1-3 years’ experience working with youth aged 3-12
- Familiarity with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) preferred but not required.
- Ability to facilitate inquiry-based lessons in an outdoor setting.
- Ability to teach various natural resource and environmental science topics to a variety of audiences with a focus on K-12 students.
- Positive, professional attitude.
- High sense of professionalism and team-oriented mentality
- Good organizational skills and self-motivated
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and able to earn a CDL within 6 months of employment.

- Ability to manage a group of students and chaperones (30+) in field.

The morning workflow is as follows:

2) Sanitation: Employee ensures grounds are ready for morning traffic, including a thorough sanitation of the 3 public restrooms onsite.
3) Pirate Ship Preparation for first ride of the day.
4) “Ready for Service” Inspection: Employee wanders garden & grounds to ensure they are ready for customers, and addresses any aesthetic, safety, or improvement concerns.
The above duties are the primary duties, but with the remaining time or extended hours employees can perform various tasks affiliated with the garden, ground and building aesthetics, or event needs.
Position Qualifications
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and perform other motions associated with physical labor.
- The “handier” the applicant the better. While the primary duties are the most important duties for this position, there is much more opportunity for additional hours if applicant can paint, troubleshoot, use tools, etc.

DESCRIPTION
The Buildings and Grounds Assistant is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all North Lakeland Discovery Center (NLDC) buildings, grounds, trails, and equipment to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. Duties include property and grounds maintenance, trail care, equipment servicing, and boat transport, as well as providing support for programs and special events. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the organization’s facilities and supporting its mission by collaborating with staff and assisting as needed.
EXPECTATIONS AND OPPORTUNITIES
Property Maintenance — Perform upkeep of all NLDC buildings, including painting, staining, roof cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
Housekeeping — Cleaning of offices, lodge, Discovery Hall, cabins, and bathrooms, and completing works orders submitted by staff.
Grounds Maintenance — Perform regular upkeep of NLDC grounds, including mowing, trimming, watering, weeding, spring/fall cleanup, winter ice removal from walkways, snowplowing of driveways, etc.
Trail Maintenance — Perform care for the 12-mile NLDC trail system, including brushing, clearing, boardwalk repair, sign upkeep, winter ski trail grooming, etc.
Equipment Maintenance — Perform vehicle maintenance, including oil changes and routine service. Report any issues to the Facilities Manager.
Boat Transport — Transport, launch, and trailer the pontoon boat and other boats as needed for programs and special events.
Program Support — Support NLDC staff for programs and special events i.e., fundraising events and weddings, including tent set-up, table and chair set-up, power cord placement and management, clean-up, etc.
Contribute to the Organization’s Mission —Communicate needs to and be willing to help other team members as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING
Strong interpersonal skills needed to collaborate with staff, local service providers, vendors, building contractors, and groups when on site for programming and special events.
Strong organization skills and the ability to multitask efficiently.
Strong problem-solving skills to find effective solutions for a variety of potential issues unique to grounds, buildings, cabin residence, group events, etc.
Strong mechanical knowledge of hand and power tools, vehicles, boats, trailers, recreational and utility equipment, electrical, heating, and plumbing fixtures, and functions.
Basic office and computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office software i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint.
Passion for working outdoors with experience and appreciation for all four seasons and the conditions that accompany each.
A valid driver’s license and clean driving record plus experience trailering boats.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift 40 lbs, work flexible hours including weekends, and work in inclement weather.
