Genevieve Coady     gen@povresort.com  715-545-3474

Attention Cleaning Professionals, Coadys’ Point of View Lake Resort (POV) is now accepting applications for a year-round Resort Manager of Housekeeping. We need a strong cleaning professional with great team management experience to lead and oversee the cleaning of our 27-unit resort (a combination of year-round cabins, seasonal glamping – vintage campers and luxury tents, and resort common facilities).

This employment position offers an outstanding opportunity to work in a busy, family-oriented hospitality environment. You will be expected to work alongside the owners (to whom this position reports directly) and the Resort Manager of Operations in multiple areas of the business. Job responsibilities include management of year-round resort housekeeping and oversight of summer hourly cleaning staff. In this role you may also be asked to assist from time to time with boat rentals, on-site guest relations, property renovations and repairs, groundskeeping, and grounds maintenance. We are looking for someone to begin as soon as possible to train and acclimate to the business – prior to the busy summer season.

This is a very hands-on job – responsible for all aspects of resort housekeeping and cleaning. This person will not be sitting at a desk most of the time. Instead, they are walking the resort grounds looking for potential problems, checking rental units to make sure they are up to standards, checking in with other staff to make sure they’re on track, or just chatting with guests in a friendly but professional manner that makes them feel like they are part of the family. • Maintain strong MS Word, Excel, and internet browsing skills
  • Must live within a twenty-minute drive of the resort within a month of starting employment
  • Must be over 19 and have a valid drivers’ license
  • Clean background required

Expect to spend a lot of time in the units cleaning, in the rec room/office and around the grounds, especially during our busiest times of the year. We are a small property with a small team so all employees can expect to be asked to help with responsibilities outside of their normal day-to-day tasks.

Coady's Point of View Lake Resort - Resort Assistant Manager of Operations (Salaried - Year Round)

Genevieve Coady     gen@povresort.com  715-545-3474

Attention Business, Hospitality, Leisure, Construction, and Entrepreneur Majors and Professionals, Coadys’ Point of View Lake Resort (POV) is now accepting applications for a seasonal Assistant Manager of Resort Operations. We need a strong *handy* assistant manager with a great operations background to co-operate the 27-unit resort with on-site owners and the resort manager. We are most interested in hiring someone with career goals in this field, including ambitions to run your own resort or camp someday. We are looking for someone to begin in early May to train and acclimate to the business. The position lasts until mid-October. On-site accommodations will be provided.

This employment position offers an outstanding opportunity to work in a busy, family-oriented hospitality environment. You will be expected to work alongside resort owners, the Resort Manager (to whom this position reports directly), the Resort Manager of Housekeeping, and other seasonal hourly staff in multiple areas of the business. In this role, job responsibilities include assisting with general day-to-day operational management of the resort, property renovations and repairs, groundskeeping, and grounds maintenance.

Background Qualities:

The ideal applicant likes to wear many hats and thinks on their feet. We are looking for team players who are willing to jump in and help wherever needed, who aren’t afraid of hard work and getting their hands dirty, and who enjoy people. The model candidate loves being where visitors number in the hundreds not millions–and enjoys delighting those guests whether they are on a day trip or staying for a week. If you enjoy the outdoors, you will love our area – where the wildlife, hiking, fishing, & scenery are spectacular, and the food scene is the best outside of Chicago and Madison! Come to the best stretch of the famous Northwoods and help provide the best in resort lodging and activities.

Key background qualities include the following:

  • Strong desire for running your own resort, camp, or business someday a definite plus
  • 2+ years of relevant experience or 4+ years of relevant education required
  • Organizational operations management, or a related field experience preferred
  • Being handy a must – able to assist with various construction projects and maintenance around the property on occasion
  • Ability to keep a clean and organized work environment – assisting with the organization of supplies, equipment, and tools for POV Team
  • Superior interpersonal communications skills, including dealing with guest relations, a must
  • A passion for the outdoors, extensive knowledge/experience with fishing and outdoor sports helpful but not a must
  • Comfortability with working weekends and evenings regularly
  • Experience with boat maintenance and operations highly useful
  • Basic motor maintenance experience helpful
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Maintain strong MS Word, Excel, and internet browsing skills
  • Must be over 19 and have a valid drivers’ license
  • Clean background required

This is a very hands-on position – responsible for assisting with all aspects of lodging and property maintenance. 40 hours per week will mainly be performed in the afternoons and evenings, including weekend shifts. Expect to spend a lot of time in the rec room/office and around the grounds. We are a small property with a small team so all employees can expect to be asked to help with responsibilities outside of their normal day-to-day tasks.

Assisting with the management of the resort (with the resort owners and manager) has a variety of shared leadership duties, including:
