HS Careers Exploration Week Program Coordinator Responsibilities
About TFT’s Careers Exploration Week for High Schoolers: TFT’s “Natural Resources Careers Exploration Week” (NRCEW) has helped high school students from across the upper Midwest discover the possibilities of working outdoors for over 30 years! Students have the opportunity to meet working professionals in the natural resources field and learn about different careers. They experience real-life field-work, learn about education and training requirements, expected salary ranges and what today's job market looks like. They also gain exposure to a variety of natural resources issues, learn life skills and have the opportunity to make new friends who share their interests. TFT’s NRCEW coordinator works to:
- Set program schedule, including securing a diverse array of natural resource professionals as speakers.
- Serve as primary contact person for questions from applicants and participants regarding NRCEW
- Work with TFT communications team to produce NRCEW materials including print and digital advertisements and mailings.
- Provide direction and communication to other educators and other TFT departments working with the program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in field of natural resources, biology, education or related field preferred, though relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Experience in the field(s) of outdoor/environmental education, general education, or natural sciences
- Familiarity with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) preferred but not required
- Current valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage a group of students and chaperones (30+ at a time).
- Qualifications (continued):
- Willingness to learn and teach outdoor skills such hiking, canoeing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, biking, fire building, etc.
- High sense of professionalism, strong team player, positive attitude
- Good organizational skills and self-motivated
- Willingness to interact with live program animals and taxidermy
- Ability to walk 5 miles per day with a 10lb pack over rough terrain, and lift 25 lbs. overhead
- Ability to drive a 15-passenger van with a canoe trailer
- Willingness to obtain a Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) and drive 70-passenger bus as needed

Prince of Peace Lutheran church is seeking a part-time/year round Music Coordinator to provide leadership in the area of music ministry. The ideal candidate should have experience leading choirs, knowledge of various church music genres, Lutheran liturgical practice, and the ability to convey this knowledge to others. A music degree is beneficial but not necessary.
Responsibilities include directing the choir during weekly practices and performing 2 Sundays a month, collaborating with the Pastor in selecting music that reflects the theme and message of worship services, and performing various administrative duties associated with the choir. The candidate should be comfortable leading the congregation for Sunday Services.
The successful candidate must possess effective interpersonal communication skills, good organizational skills, basic technology skills for utilizing a sound system, and a positive attitude. The candidate should have the ability and desire to act as a spiritual leader for the congregation, including the choir.
