Free fishing seminars for children ages 5 to 13 will be held at the Vilas County Fairgrounds in the shelter house , Eagle River, WI

Featuring Elmer Jensen, local guide, and Diane Jensen

All children will be given information and instruction about fishing, a goody bag and prizes.

Prizes could include a rod and reel, tackle box, lures or other items.

Topics covered will include fish identification, size limits, license requirements, rigging slip-bobbers, tying knots, fish habitat, how to net fish, how to handle fish, catch-and-release, boating safety, being responsible to others and the environment, casting techniques, and preventing the spread of aquatic invasive species.
