Participants will receive training from local experts on how to use iNaturalist and specialized equipment to delineate, measure and map old-growth characteristics in a hemlock-dominated forest, and how to identify the different fungi that call these forests home. Participants will then utilize this knowledge to collect data, walking on and off trail for approximately two miles on undulating and uneven terrain.
