Land O’ Lakes Area Arts (LOLA) invites the community to join us for a creative and inspiring event with our Artist-in-Residence, Katlyn Koester.

The event will feature an artist talk, a showcase of Koester’s latest work, and an open studio workshop.

This free event, held in the LOLA Gallery Room, requires no registration and is part of LOLA’s winter programming, Community through Creating. This program brings people together to explore creativity, share stories, and build connections through art.

The morning begins with coffee and a light breakfast during the artist talk. Koester will reflect on her residency at LOLA, share her creative process, and debut her latest piece, Pull yourself together. Following the talk, attendees are invited to explore their creativity in the Random Acts of Art workshop, led by Koester.

Random Acts of Art transforms the concept of random acts of kindness into an artistic experience. Participants will craft small fiber artworks to be shared as acts of hope and inspiration within the community. This self-guided open studio workshop will feature stations for needle felting, embroidery, and beadwork, with Koester providing guidance and assistance.
