SepTimber Ride Can Quench that Cycling Thirst

We don’t think riding your bicycle should be about how fast you go. We think it’s about the scenery you experience, the friends you ride with, and the destination you’re heading.

On September 11, the SepTimber Ride offers three unique and fun routes with a pair of the area’s favorite destinations for beer and wine enthusiasts – Tribute Brewing Company and Three Lakes Winery. All we need is you and your friends! Save $10 by registering online by August 1.

We can’t make any promises on the fall colors you might see, but history tells us there will be some bold reds, brilliant oranges, and bright yellows in the deciduous trees along our routes. Each course features unique views of natural forest areas, prairies, lakes, and – of course – a good chance at seeing some wildlife. And because the ride is self-guided, participants can choose their own pace and stop safely off to the side of the trail or road for those truly picturesque moments.

All SepTimber Ride routes begin at Tribute Brewing Company in Eagle River and make a pass through Three Lakes Winery at roughly the halfway point. The full schedule includes registration from 7 to 9 a.m., with the 100K Northwoods Road Ride starting at 8 a.m., the 60K Northwoods Road Ride leaving at 8:30 a.m., and the 28-mile Trail Ride setting off at 9 a.m.

With an early Saturday morning start, you might look for some fun area activities to enjoy Friday night. You’ll need a place to properly fuel up your body for the pedal power you’ll need on your bicycle. Need a last-minute tune-up on your ride or forgot some essential cycling gear? Head on over to Forever Young Bike & Ski. And the Eagle River area has plenty of places to stay overnight so you can feel refreshed and ready for the SepTimber Ride.

All participants must be age 21 years or older. Registration includes the bike ride, wine and beer sampling, a long sleeve wick-away event shirt, and a brat picnic to celebrate the conclusion of the ride. All rides are self-guided. It is strongly recommended that everyone participating wear a CPSC approved helmet.

Get your bicycle out of the garage, gather some friends, and register for the SepTimber Ride this September! We can’t wait to see you switching gears Up North soon!
