An A-Lure-ing Fishing Weekend

An A-Lure-ing Fishing Weekend

It’s always fishing season in our neck of the woods. But, come spring and summer, our chain of lakes brings out all of the anglers. Make sure you’re here for the official start of the season by planning a trip during opening weekend. Whether you’re coming up for a weekend, a week or the entire season get ready for some reel fun on the lake.

Don’t Miss Opening Day

The official start of the spring and summer fishing season is Saturday, May 4th. So, pack up your tackle box, grab some gas for the boat and hit the road. Start the season off with the freshest catches, just check our fishing report to see what’s swimming.

Rent Your Ride

Not everyone has a boat or wants to tow theirs to the Northwoods. Lucky for you, we have numerous businesses that offer boat rentals – many of them being resorts or hotels that you can stay at if needed. Make sure you reserve your boat early if you can and that you have a valid boater’s license or meet the requirements for operating a boat in Wisconsin.

Rest, Boat, Eat, Repeat

If you are bringing your own boat, stay in one of our accommodations that has their own boat slip.  That way everything you need is all on one property and nothing can get between you and a day out on the water. We even have a selection of restaurants on the water, so you can fuel up and get back to what matters – your catch of the day.

Get Some Pier Support

With the World’s Largest Chain of 28 Connected Lakes, you bet we have lots of shoreline and piers to fish from too. Cast a line at the T-docks area, Silver Lake Park, Eagle Park, Burnt Rollways Boat Hoist area, Deep Lake, Cooks Lake, Dad Lake, Rainbow Flowage, Otter Rapids Dam, Spectacle Lake, Kentuck Lake, Franklin Lake, Baker Lake, Wisconsin River, from the walkway under the 45 N bridge at Riverview Park and any public boat landing as long as you are not stopping launching.

Get Some Guidance

We’ve got more fishing experts than we know what to do with, but hey, what can you expect in the Northwoods? Take a tour with one of our fishing guides for the best insider tricks, locations and some local history and sightseeing.

Fill Your Tackle Box

Need some bait? How about some more lures? Eagle Sports has a pretty a-lure-ing selection of fishing supplies for you to shop from.

Cast a Line with Your Friends
