LAMBO will be hosting a grand opening of their latest trail project, the Sucker Springs Singletrack.

The event will take place Saturday, July 6, at 10:00 a.m. at the trailhead.

The trailhead is located 1/4 mile east of USH 45 on Ski Hill Road, between Eagle River and Conover.

LAMBO members will be on hand to guide riders on trail rides, and discuss the future of the project. The project is a collaboration between the Vilas County Forestry office and LAMBO, and is completely donation driven.

Approximately 3 miles of machine built “flow” trail has been constructed as of this article, with plans for additional trail already in the works.  The current trails are a blend of beginner/intermediate levels. Local donors have already committed over $50,000 to the construction efforts.

The trail system is a non-motorized system, open to cyclists and one wheel enthusiasts. LAMBO would like to extend an invitation to anyone curious or interested in the project to attend. An informal tailgate social will take place at the trailhead starting at about 12. Feel free to BYOB and/or food.

For information, feel free to call or text Mike Olkowski(LAMBO member) at 715-617-0654
