Blast from the Past

Learn about the Eagle River railways, ice castle, ski jumping, stories of our locals and our downtown business history at the Eagle River Historical Society’s Northwestern Railway Depot. Group tours are available by appointment.

Leisure on the Lake

Hop onboard Bill’s Guide Service & Scenic Boat Tours to see the beautiful Eagle River Chain of Lakes’ historical boathouses, breathtaking homes, wildlife and scenery.

Channel your inner Gilligan on this three-hour boat tour from the Eagle River Main Street Program and learn about the history of building and preserving the chain’s historic boat houses from your captain and his mate.

Take the family on a one-of-a-kind Aerial Trekking Tour at Northwoods Zip Line or for the younger ones in your group, opt for the kid-friendly Kids Zip Line Tour.

Play pirates for a day, or at least a few hours as you tour the chain on the area’s only Pirate Ship at Pirates Hideaway. Day, sunset and evening tours are available with snacks, pirate hats and your very own Captain.

Environmental and Educational

Kids and adults can take outdoor classes and tours through Trees for Tomorrow and learn in the forests, bogs and the trails on the north country. Trees for Tomorrow’s campus located only a few blocks from downtown Eagle River so pop by for a tour, a guided hike or other campus activities.

Tour the Northwoods Wildlife Center to see how they mend sick, injured and orphaned wild animals in order to release them back into the wild. Guided tours are available six days a week.

Tour a cranberry marsh and working cranberry factory during harvest season at Lake Nokomis Cranberries. And don’t forget to pick up some goodies in their gift shop.

Take an Adventure Tour

Take to the area’s wild side on Trophy Deer Farm’s 900 private acres on Adventure Tours new Argo ATV Tours.

If you’re visiting during winter, make sure you book a snowmobile tour with Decker Tours. Choose from tours designed for beginner and entry level riders or week-long tours for more experienced riders. Decker tours also takes you on ATV/UTV tours of the area, so don’t miss out.
