Walter E. Olson Memorial Library is located at the corner of Main and Spruce Streets in Eagle River, just two short blocks east of the Chamber of Commerce offices. Whether you’re a resident, “snow bird”, camper, or just passing through, the library’s friendly corps of staff and volunteers can be of service to you.
The staff consists of Nan Andrews, Director; Mickee Stuckemeyer, Administrative Assistant; Patricia Lamon, children’s services & cataloging. Karen Labelle is part-time support staff; Donald Barlow is our custodian. We also have 35 volunteers who are valuable members of our team.
Besides our collection of books, videos, audio books, cds, and computer software, we also have children’s learning kits, games, puzzles, and puppets.
We have three computers connected to the Internet, available for use by the public; we also have two computers which may be used for word processing and playing games.
We have fax, copy, and laminating services.
Beginning in June, and continuing through July, Ms. Pat conducts a Summer Library Program with many fun and exciting activities for young people from preschool through grade eight.
Stop in-to get a library card, access your email, have a cup of coffee or tea, chat with your neighbors, read newspapers and magazines-or just say hello. We’re always happy to see you!
