Get Together in the Great Outdoors

Around these parts, we know there’s always a good time waiting to happen. And we just happen to enjoy sharing those times with a bunch of friendly folks. So, whether you’re sharing a round of drinks with friends or making new pals on the lake, here are some of our favorite outdoor gathering spaces.

Gather ‘round for Some Outdoor Art

A haven for all of our local artists, The Warehouse Art Center provides art classes and spaces throughout the year. Stop by for Gallery Nights to see unique works of art on display and grab a drink at Inspiration Bar. The Warehouse also puts on movie nights and other events for the community. Check their schedule of events. For more performances, don’t miss the events at Three Lakes Center of the Arts and Headwaters Council for the Performing Arts.

Drop an Anchor at these Boat Meets

Fill up your cooler, slap on some sunscreen and watch for these gatherings happening on the World’s Largest Chain of 28 Connected Lakes. Or even better join in on the fun at the Steamboat Meet, Pirates Hideaway, Musky Open, or hang around the sandbar on Catfish Lake.

Relax with a Round of Drinks

Just because you have a drink in hand doesn’t mean you need to be belly up at the bar. Get some fresh air alongside your fresh pour when you meet up at the patio at Tribute Brewing Company or Bortolotti’s Cin Cin Wine Bar & Bistro.

Park Your Group in a Park

You won’t be short on space when you reserve a spot at one of our parks. We’ve got covered spaces, spaces with grills, and all of the beautiful scenery you’re looking for at Riverview Park and Eagle Lake Park. Call city hall at (715) 479-8682 for Riverview Park reservations and the Vilas County Forestry Dept. at (715) 479-5160 for Eagle Lake Park reservations. Or bring the group to T Docks Boat Landing or Silver Lake Beach.

Get Your Wheels Turning Together

The only thing better than riding through our scenic Northwoods is doing it with other people. Join a group or bring your friends together for the SepTimber Ride. Choose your own distance and stop at the brewery and winery along your route.

Make it a Family Affair

Who says family reunions and weddings have to be in a hotel ballroom? Sure, we’ve got those, but we’ve also got outdoor space complete and scenic views that bring everyone together. Take the celebrations outdoors with these group gathering destinations and wedding venues.

Take in Some Tunes

We like live music as much as the next person, but there’s something special about it when you’re with a group of friends relaxing in the Northwoods that makes it that much better. Come for Picnic in the Park, the Vilas County Fair and Joe Buchers Blues Fest. Not to brag or anything, but we’ve got some pretty talented musicians in Eagle River, come see them at one of these events. And don’t miss our special guests from Nashville, Tom Mason & The Blue Buccaneers on August 1 at the WRJO Street Dance. You can also take in some live tunes at Sweetwater Spirits and Resort, Bortolotti’s Cin Cin Wine Bar & Bistro, and Pirates Hideaway.

Foodies Make Great Friends

Nothing brings people together like food – well maybe drinks – but lucky for you we’ve got both. Don’t miss out on the Rotary Wine and Cheese Social or Old-Fashioneds Up North, bring the gang to the patio at Save the Dome – Bourbon and Beer Tasting, and if you’ve got any room left in your stomach, dive into our outdoor dining options.

If those weren’t enough events to fill your calendar, check all of our events here.
