Journeys Marathon is a challenging and inspirational spring race that starts with the woodland backdrop of Boulder Junction, WI on rustic roads while meandering through the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest and passing many scenic northern Wisconsin lakes. This is a race not to be missed.
Memorial Day Arts and Crafts Show and Sidewalk Sales

9:00 am to 4:00 pm Downtown Eagle River. Kicking off the new summer tourist-filled season, this arts and crafts show will showcase many area crafters as well as artists from the northwoods. Also featured will be downtown businesses placing sale products for sale on tables outside of their stores.

Eagle River’s Great Northern Beer Festival

Eagle River’s Great Northern Beer Festival will be held on the grounds of teh Hi-Pines Campground. Microbrews and craft beers from more than 30 breweries along with samples from the Northwood’s Lush Inc. Home Brewers Club will be featured. Attendees will receive a souvenir tasting glass and can learn about the brewing process from some of the Midwest’s most celebrated brewers.
Callie Rohr Memorial Canoe and Kayak Race
June 13-14, 2015
This is a 26-mile two-day marathon canoe race on the historic Headwaters of the Wisconsin River. Paddlers can paddle a whole marathon, half marathon, or short “Paddle For A Cure” race. This beautiful, fast and wild stream, with lots of challenging turns and obstacles, makes for an exciting and challenging race.
Recreation and Stock Boat racers will start from our RWT landing at 9:00 am and travel half way down the racecourse to the landing at River Road. The race will continue the next day, at 9:00 am from River Road to the Eagle River Inn in Eagle River.
The pro-racers will do the entire course in one day beginning at 7:30 am on Sunday from RWT. “Paddle for a Cure”, a 3-mile race, starts at County G at 10:30 am on Sunday. All racers will end at the Eagle River Inn Sunday for an exciting finish. All spectators are welcome at Rohr’s Wilderness Tours, River Road and at the Eagle River Inn, where there will be a pig roast, raffles, and an awards ceremony. There are other exciting events planned for the race weekend.
The net proceeds from this worthwhile and fun event and all other direct fund raising will be used to fund pediatric brain tumor research.
Professional Musky Tournament Trail

The Professional Musky Tournament Trail events are the most high profile, exciting, educational and entertaining musky tournaments in the country. The PMTT’s high energy format has been developed not only with the Pro’s in mind, but also the dozens and dozens of other excellent musky anglers who may have the desire and ability to become Pro’s or just enjoy a little competition and want to have a good time. Success in the PMTT can take you down many roads, no matter what your skill level. Come join the PMTT and have fun.
4th of July Parade and Fireworks Celebration

11:00 am, Downtown Eagle River. Celebrate our nations’ freedom and Eagle River’s hometown pride by taking in our spectacular parade. Over 100 entrants and over 60 floats showcase the parade’s annual theme. Then, when dusk arrives on this celebratory day, come view the colorful fireworks shot high in the sky over the Hi-Pines Campground located on Hwy 45N of Eagle River.
43rd Annual Artarama – Riverwalk Art Show and Sale

9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Riverside Park.This nationally known one-day art and fine craft festival draws top-quality artists and a large, art-savvy and buying public. Live music, picnic-style food and parking provided by non-profit organizations. Always held the third weekend in July.
34th Annual Paul Bunyan Fest

10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Downtown Eagle River. This fun filled family fun event features chain saw carving demonstrations, over 75 arts-n-crafts vendors, live musical entertainment and a Paul Bunyan Roast Cook-off by area businesses. Come on down and enjoy a Paul Bunyan size luncheon which includes a heap’n help’n of potato salad, corn, a HUGE BEEF sandwich and a cookie. Food is served starting at 11:00 am to 2:00 pm or until gone.

Join us for a great ride from Tribute Brewing Company to Three Lakes Winery on the Three Eagle Trail and back for those choosing to ride 26 miles. Another option is to ride only 13 miles – one way. Proceeds from this ride will support the Great Headwaters Trails Foundation in the development of bike trails for eastern Vilas County.
World Championship Vintage Snowmobile Show and “Reunion”
This is an invitation to all Snowmobile Enthusiasts. Two great days of the “grand old days” of snowmobiling. Saturday includes grass drags and displays of beautifully restored vintage sleds. Then on Sunday it’s more vintage drag racing, swapping and sled showing followed by an awards ceremony and trophy presentation.

Classic Vintage Races dedicated to the grand old racing machines of the sixties, seventies and eighties. These machines are meticulously resorted, the engines are tuned and reliable and the competition is highly reminiscent of the “good old days”.

From its humble beginnings on Dollar Lake to the multi-million dollar facility we all enjoy today; the Derby was destined to be the best. It hosts three separate racing venues: ice oval, sno-cross and vintage racing. Thursday evening features time trials, Friday night features “Friday Night Thunder”, Saturday features grueling heats, quarter and semi finals all leading up to the Championship Finals on Sunday. Racing Daily at 10:00 am.
