Break Your Cabin Fever

We kinda like staying in a cabin, but when spring comes around and cabin fever strikes, we want to get back outside. See what you can do to enjoy spring’s thaw in Eagle River.

Take a Hike

There are miles of trails here. Nearly 80 miles in fact. So you can bet there’s no shortage of space to get out and see what’s budding in the area. Take in the sights of calm lakes, wildflowers and birds. If your boots are well-broken in, you can cover challenging ground on Snipe Lake and Ewald Lake trail systems. So lace up and get moving.

Shop the Farmer’s Market

Get yourself some fresh vegetables and cheeses, to artisanal soaps and baked goods, you can stock up for the week ahead at our Farmer’s Market, or fill your basket for a spontaneous picnic by the lake. All of the goods are from local Eagle River folks and vendors – so you know it’s the good stuff.

Go Fish

Now that the lakes have thawed, you can brave a boat ride on the waters, or cast from the shoreline. Check our Weekly Fishing Report for the latest conditions.

Start Pedaling

No matter the season, Eagle River is home to some of the most beautiful biking trails in the Northwoods. With woodland trails for mountain biking, winding roads for road bikes, and paths for fat-tire biking, you can tour the area however you like to ride.
