CANCELED
People are—once again—buzzing for copper mugs filled with a spicy ginger mixer and vodka. Yes, the famed Moscow Mule.
You might want to order your tickets online when they become available considering Mules Up North had more than 200 attendees at Chef Renee’s at Eagle River Inn & Resort. Chef Renee’s will host the event from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
Bartenders from the Eagle River area bars and restaurants will mix two different types of Mules ( a traditional Mule and a Mule with a Kick) in the mix-drink competition. The 3-hour event includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment throughout the evening. Event patrons will sample the bartender creations and vote on their favorite mules (also known as a vodka buck) with the winners being announced at 8:30 p.m.
Each participant will enjoy their Mules in sample cups throughout the evening and take home a souvenir copper mug.
"Buck" cocktails are made with a ginger ale or ginger beer and mixed with a citrus juice. The "Buck" was named after a shot of whisky was added to the previously non-alcoholic drink, horse’s neck, which was lemon juice in ginger ale. The Mule is famously served in a copper cup.
Tickets can be purchased online only for $100. Patrons must be at least 21 years old. Tickets will not be available at the door, so plan accordingly.
Host site Eagle River Inn & Resort has rooms ranging from dream suites to deluxe suites with kitchenette units for overnight guests who don’t want to travel after the event. Other overnight options can be found online using the lodging finder.
You won’t want to miss the third annual Mules Up North!
