Need to squeeze in as much summer fun as possible into one trip? Well, you’ve come to the right place, because when you combine the Northwoods with the charm of Eagle River and the World’s Largest Chain of 28 Connected Lakes, you’ve got the perfect mix to complete your summer.
Set Up Camp
After the drive, unpack your gear, grab the marshmallows and start telling those spooky ghost stories. There’s no way to soak in the best of the Northwoods than by spending it outdoors. Stay at one of our campgrounds and cook your dinner over the campfire – did someone say pudgy pies?
Get On The Water
On the World’s Largest Chain of 28 Connected Lakes, you’ll need more than one day to do all of the kayaking, boating, wave runners, stand up paddle boarding and swimming that our lakes have to offer. No boat? No problem. Rent a boat for any water fun you have in mind. Pack up the cooler with cold sandwiches from Trig’s or Pick ‘N Save. Or stop by one of our restaurants on the water. After the water fun have dinner at one of our traditional Wisconsin supper clubs. And don’t forget dessert! Grab some homemade goodies at Tremblay’s Sweet Shop and Country Store of Eagle River.
Dry Off
Play like a kid again at Kartway, Elmer’s Fun Park, or Eagle Falls Adventure Golf and Laser Tag. If you’re looking for something a little more adventurous, try the ATV/UTV routes or Northwoods Zip Line Adventure Tours. Then head to a waterski show at Chain Skimmers or Plum Ski-ters.
Pick Up Something To Remember The Trip
Stop by Arrow Gift Shop or Fredrick’s Corner Shoppe to get a souvenir or the perfect pair of moccasins before you start your drive home.
And, if you really want to pack in the summer, see how many of these Eagle River Bucket List items you can check off during your stay.
